A calendar clock is a relatively inexpensive way to address this problem. Calendar clocks display not only the time, but also the day of the week, the date, and the month.
BQ38 Calendar Flip Clock
Many of the “cheap” calendar clocks on the market are not automatic, and you have to press a button every day to flip it over to the next day. If a person is unsure what day it is, they are unlikely to remember to press a button every day. If a calendar clock is showing the WRONG day, this is possibly even worse than not displaying anything at all.
For this reason, we only sell fully automatic calendar clocks.
These calendar clocks know how many days are in each month (30 or 31, or 28 for February) and will even handle leap years (adding an extra day to February every fourth year).
Battery Operated Calendar Flip Clocks
The clock above (the BQ38) and its big brother (the BQ12) are both battery operated flip calendar clocks. The batteries last for about a year. The BQ38 uses a C cell and the BQ12 uses a AA cell. Both types of battery are cheap and easy to find. If you have Daylight Saving where you live, all you need to do is wind the clock forward or backward twice a year. Everything else is fully automatic.
Mains Powered Digital Led Calendar Clocks
If you are after an illuminated clock, we sell several styles of mains powered LED calendar clocks. These come with wall mounting brackets and plug into a standard power point. Because they are illuminated, they are ideal for situations where they need to be read at night, eg. in a bedroom.

An added benefit of these clocks is that you never have to replace a battery, and Daylight-Saving adjustments are fully automatic. Although they are more expensive than the battery-operated calendar flip clocks, a digital LED calendar clock is a very attractive addition to any room, with its sleek, black aluminium case and crisp, premium LED display.
The clock above has 50mm high digits and measures 300 x 300mm (one-foot square in the old language). It can be read from a distance of 25m away so it’s ideal for large rooms, or for people with poor eyesight. It’s available with a choice of red, green or yellow LEDs. The clocks have an ambient light sensor built into the front panel, so they will detect the brightness of the room and adjust the brightness of the display accordingly (through 7 levels). This means that at night, when the room is dark, the LEDs will dim down, and during the day, they will brighten up again.
